The Center for the Study of C. S. Lewis & Friends: Accommodations

The Lewis Center promotes the integration of faith, scholarship, and the imagination as modeled by a group of British writers we identify as “C.S. Lewis and Friends.”

Additional Accommodations

We highly recommend selecting on-campus lodging for the Colloquium. Most days start early and extend into the evening hours and staying on-campus is convenient. There is also a community and fellowship aspect made possible by our on-campus lodging - late-night sing-alongs, board games, and conversation often occur in the common areas of the residence hall at the end of the day.

Many attendees choose to stay in on-campus lodging for the Colloquium. This year, attendees will be housed in Taylor's newest residence hall, Breuninger Hall. Nicknamed "Breu" by students, this three-story residence hall was constructed in 2013 and features a large common lobby, expansive patio space, a community kitchen, and common areas on each floor. This hall is air-conditioned and has an elevator. Please note that, due to the nature of a college residence hall, there are community bathrooms (bathrooms are not co-ed).

Breuninger Hall is located on the south end of Taylor's campus, approximately a five-to-seven-minute walk from colloquium activities and dining options.

Off-Campus Accommodations

Though many of our attendees choose to say on-campus in a residence hall, there are several options available for those attendees desiring alternative or off-campus accommodation.

For your convenience, a block of rooms has been reserved at Best Western Plus in Gas City, IN (five miles from campus - please note that there is no shuttle service to/from campus). When calling to make your reservation, you must mention "Lewis & Friends" group in order to receive a discounted rate.
